We were honored to have a hand in transforming an Indianapolis historic home into a space that could comfortably welcome a growing family. The house was originally the Woodland Country Club’s pro shop. The owners had purchased lots on either side of the structure and hired designer Gary Nance to design the renovated space. The new designed area was to incorporate with the homes existing timber logs and cabinetry look and feel.
The design called for keeping the center part of the home while adding onto both sides. The right side received a new large entry, a great room with a gorgeous centerpiece of a full masonry fireplace and bar area. We also added a new large garage area from which led in the home via a back hall which included a powder bath. Above the garage we built a full bath, a large sitting area that included trundle beds for the grand kids, an art and craft area and a large office area.
An existing 2-car garage on the left side of the home was converted into the master suite, as well as a guest suite with two bedrooms and a bath.
Finally, large porches were placed on the front of the home and across the back to take advantage of the lovely golf course view.
